Extreme heat alerts return: Murcia weather forecast August 4-7
The thermometers will approach 40ºC in large parts of the Region of Murcia this week

Weather alerts in Murcia on Tuesday August 5
The weather will continue to heat up in the Region this coming week, with large parts of central Murcia on alert on Tuesday August 5 for temperatures at or above a sweltering 40ºC. The rest of the Region won’t escape the punishing heat either as the mercury is expected to hover around the high-30s until at least the end of the week.
Monday August 4

Partly cloudy or clear skies are forecast for the most part on Monday after a bit of a dull start to the day. Temperatures will remain similar to the weekend for the time being but an easterly breeze should cool things off a little along the coast.
Tuesday August 5

Tuesday will again be largely bright and sunny with a few overcast spells in the northwest mountain ranges.
Day-time temperatures will shoot up inland and a yellow heat alert has been activated throughout the Vega del Segura between the hours of 1pm and 9pm. Even so, the mercury won’t dip far below the high-30s anywhere in the Region with the exception of Cartagena, where a relatively cooler 34ºC will be registered.
Wednesday August 6

Wednesday’s forecast is much the same, with mostly clear or slightly skies throughout with the exception of the northwest, where some cloudy intervals are expected.
Both day and night-time temperatures will remain exceptionally high, although the weather alerts have been lifted for now.
Thursday August 7

Aemet is a little unsure how the weather forecast will develop from Thursday onwards but for the moment at least, the experts are forecasting another mostly clear and sunny day with temperatures ranging between 34ºC and 38ºC.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Murcia this week

- Tuesday August 5: Min 19ºC; Max 38ºC
- Wednesday August 6: Min 18ºC; Max 36ºC
