Condado de Alhama Golf Resort included in new Alhama de Murcia bus service
Alhama de Murcia Council launches a new intercity bus service to link the municipality with its districts
The City Council of Alhama de Murcia has announced a new intercity bus service that will connect the urban centre with all outlying districts, including Condado de Alhama Golf Resort and the Industrial Estate.
The Council’s Department of Transport has announced the launching of a new service that aims to improve the quality of life and mobility of residents, especially those who live in more remote or rural areas. Condado de Alhama have been included in this new transport service after the urbanisation’s board of presidents put a lot of effort into working with Alhama de Murcia Town Hall.
The new intercity bus will have stops in all districts, and will offer a frequency and schedule appropriate to the demands of users. Likewise, the bus will be accessible for people with reduced mobility, and will have a specific route for young people studying Vocational Training in the municipality.
The council’s governing team is working with experts to determine the number of lines and the route, so that the service will be up and running in a few months.
Alhama de Murcia Mayor, María Cánovas, has expressed her satisfaction with this project, which fulfils one of the council’s commitments: "It is a very necessary service demanded by the residents, which will contribute to rural development and cohesion among all".
