Mazarron Council replace numerous refuse bins on Camposol urbanisation
Camposol receive replacement bins and a few extra after complaints about the condition of some of the existing containers
In ongoing talks between Mazarrón Councillor, Carmen Navarro and the Camposol Business Association plus gardening groups Los Palacios, BClean, Greenfingers and D community and gardening group, the problem of waste bins was raised, in that many of the general domestic refuse bins are damaged and beyond repair.
In response to this the Councillor arranged with Bahía de Mazarrón Ingeniería Urbana, the concern responsible for the provision of municipal refuse and recycling collection to identify and replace as many problem containers as possible within the municipal quota.
Bahía carried out a survey of containers on the urbanisation and on Monday, September 9 started delivering replacements plus some extras, 43 in all, The new containers are of the larger 1100 litre type as opposed to the smaller type more common on Camposol whish have a capacity of around 750 litres, four of which were recently vandalised and burnt to ash.
The operation was completed in a few days and on Thursday September 12 Camposol Business Association received a report from Bahía de Mazarrón Ingeniería Urbana containing the distribution and other details as follows
They (the containers) have been distributed in the four sectors that make up Camposol with a total of 43 containers.
1. Sector A: 9 containers have been replaced and 2 extras.
2. Sector B: 14 containers have been replaced and 6 extras.
3. Sector C: 5 containers have been replaced.
4. Sector D: 7 containers have been replaced.
Types of Containers: Rear loading container 1100 litres. flat top
The 1100 rear loading container litres, flat lid, is manufactured using injection using high density polyethylene, mass colored and stabilized against action combined water and UV rays.
The materials used in its production are recyclable and do not harm the environment. The pigments used in manufacture do not contain heavy materials.
The 1100-litre container can be used with DIN, AFNOR, OSCHNER or clamping system VENTRAL and adapts to different types of selective collection.
The Business Association has also asked for general refuse and recycling information posters to be supplied: this was agreed and will be worded in Spanish and English.
