Murcia Corvera airport: Increased Glasgow flights and another new international destination with Ryanair next summer
Ryanair has announced that there will be more flights and destinations from Murcia for summer 2024

Despite, or perhaps because of, the poor showing by Murcia’s Corvera airport in terms of passenger numbers this year, new changes have been announced for the summer schedule 2024 that will increase the number of international flight routes and the frequency of existing routes.
Ryanair have decided that, for the summer 2024 tourist high season, there will be 3 flights per week between the Region of Murcia and Glasgow Prestwick Airport in Scotland instead of 2.
It comes at the same time as they increase the flight frequencies between Glasgow Prestwick and Barcelona from 3 to 4 weekly and to Tenerife from 6 to 7 weekly.
Also from Ryanair comes a brand-new city destination for summer 2024. Starting from April 3, 2024, there will be two return flights each week – on Wednesdays and Saturdays – between Murcia and Marrakesh in Morocco. Tickets are already on sale on the Ryanair website.
There are already two other cities in Morocco you can fly to from Murcia in summer, Casablanca and Oujda. For the autumn/winter flight season, however, only Oujda is available.
New year-round flights recently began linking Corvera with Madrid and Barcelona, while the other new destination being added for the summer 2024 roster is Porto in Portugal and Ostava in the Czech Republic.
As confirmed by the Regional Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports, Carmen María Conesa Nieto, “For the coming summer season, Murcia Region International Airport will be connected to 22 destinations in 7 European countries, including the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Morocco, Portugal and the Czech Republic.”
Ignoring the fact that Morocco is not, in fact, in Europe, she continued that, in addition to the incorporations of Madrid and Barcelona, domestic links within Spain to Gran Canaria will continue, the connections to Oviedo, Santander and Menorca will return and “the one to Bilbao will be resumed after two years” from airline Volotea.
And the Regional Government is always trying to persuade the airlines to run more domestic and international routes.
“In addition, we reaffirm our intention to continue to insist on opening direct routes to Galicia and destinations in France and Italy,” said the Minister.
Faced with a lack of permanent flight routes to and from Murcia, passengers interested in flights to Essex can now vote online for a new year-round connection to be added with London Southend Airport.
