La Azohía, Cartagena and Cabo de Palos in a national TV documentary on Sunday!
Beautiful aerial shots of the Cartagena coastline and the historic city itself
The La 2 channel of Spain’s national televisión broadcaster RTVE is showing a documentary on Sunday morning on the city of Cartagena and the coastline of the large municipality, all the way from Isla Plana and La Azohía in the west to Cabo de Palos and the Mar Menor in the east.
The episode of “Un país en bicicleta” which is being screened on Sunday 15th March at 12.00 includes beautiful footage and aerial shots of the regional park of Calblanque, the marine reserve of Cabo de Palos, Cala Cortina, the area of Cabo Tiñoso and La Azohía and of course the Roman Theatre in the city of Cartagena, and is well worth a watch even if you don’t understand the language!
Recording took place during February (when it seems the TV crew were lucky enough to stumble on rare day when the clouds were pierced by a little sunshine!) and the programme can now be seen twice: for those who miss it on Sunday there is a second chance on Thursday 19th March at 9.00.
This series is fronted by Ainara Hernando, a journalist and an avid cyclist who tours the Spanish countryside on two wheels and highlights the beauty of the natural landscape and the tourist attractions of each destination.
